Part-Time or Full-Time Temp Lab Tech

3DBio Therapeutics is a biologics and bioprinting company with a focus on regenerative medicine that precision manufactures living tissues to allow replacement of each individual patient’s parts with tissues designed and created specifically for them. 3DBio has developed unique capabilities toward the creation of living tissue implants for therapeutic applications. The technology platforms include a full suite of features to meet the FDA’s requirements for therapeutic manufacturing, including novel and proprietary: 3D-bioprinter (GMPrint™), bio-ink (ColVivo™), and cell processes. In pre-clinical studies the platform has demonstrated the ability to generate functioning living tissues.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

The Temp Lab Tech I will be responsible for performing upstream manufacturing operations within both controlled and classified spaces. This will include various stages of a protein purification process: cleaning, homogenization, washing, extraction, centrifugation, inactivation, syringe exchange mixing, and reagent preparation. The chosen candidate will diligently follow approved process procedures and be encouraged to participate in process optimization discussions. Collaborations are vital when evaluating/implementing improvements. Precise measurements and a keen focus to details and accurate documentation are required for effective performance. Quick, proficient reactions to activity changes within a dynamic environment are required.

Additionally, all Site personnel are expected to lend a hand, regardless of position with various everyday tasks such as maintaining clean laboratory and organized production spaces, assisting with recycling efforts, receiving deliveries and checking in visitors, alerting the appropriate personnel of any utility/equipment/facility alarms, etc. Strong communication and time management skills are a plus, as well as the ability to effectively work within a team framework.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferably with 2 years + of industry experience OR current student pursuing an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or Engineering
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow clear written documentation.
  • Use of basic computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Requires moderate levels of standing/walking and some manually physical work
  • Strong ethical foundation
  • Experience working on a team preferred.
